Suhail Bahwan Automobiles has launched German battery brand DETA in Oman, with a range of automotive products that is claimed to cover up to 95% of the vehicle park.
Speaking at the launch, Divyendu Kumar, managing director of Bahwan International Group Holding extolled the group's focus on customer satisfaction, having had very strong customer service ratings over the past few years. He emphasized that it was this approach that led to the introduction of a brand like DETA.
DETA is a German brand, founded in 1945, that is now part of the Exide Technologies pantheon and offers a host of Exide innovations. The technologies being offered at launch extend from high quality regular automotive use batteries (SLI) to AGM and EFB batteries for use in stop/start engines and as auxiliary power sources.
DETA offers a range that targets all light, commercial, marine and construction uses and in each application offers three grades – labelled by them as the 'Good, Better, Best' approach.
DETA will offer batteries that are made in Germany as well in Dubai, in Exide's new start-of-the-art factory in Technopark.
Also addressing the gathered media, Federico Montessori, Senior director Europe and Middle East for Exide, dwelled on the long history and the innovations that characterised Exide and DETA, while emphasizing the importance of the brand in Europe. He also leveraged the strong reach Exide has with OEM manufacturers as well as the multiple brand offering to the aftermarket.
