Sebastian Vettel has signed a new agreement to remain with Ferrari until the end of 2020, the Italian team said.
The announcement by Ferrari was timed with the opening feature of the post-summer season at Spa.
“Scuderia Ferrari has extended its technical and racing agreement with driver Sebastian Vettel for the 2018, 2019 and 2020 racing seasons of the Formula One World Championship,” Ferrari said on its official website.
He has been with the Scuderia since 2015 and will partner Raikkonen who has reconfirmed with the team for next year. While he has won four consecutive drivers championship since 2010 with Red Bull, he is yet to win one for Ferrari.
Sebastian Vettel has 46 wins and 48 poles, and currently leads this year’s drivers championship by 14 points ahead of a charging Lewis Hamilton.
