Mercedes-AMG has announced the end of production of their already top of line Mercedes-AMG G65 SUV. To ‘celebrate’ the occasion they are commissioning a limited edition of 65 units of the vehicle, with exclusive fittings and finish. It is available from 310,233 euros (including 19% VAT in Germany).
The car has an AMG V12 engine with 630hp of power, 1000Nm of torque at 2300-4300rpm from its biturbo setup – it features twin turbochargers and is mated to a Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic gearbox.
Visually, the final edition stands apart with unique 21″ wheels and the use of matte bronze on the underride guard, trim in the bumpers, the wheels and mirrors plus in the grille surround, while the grille itself is black mesh.
The black on black interior features designo Exclusive package in designo black nappa leather with seat side bolsters in a carbon-fibre look and topstitching in light brown. There are carbon-fibre trim elements as well as a milled edition lettering in the grab handles. the vehicle also gets the seat comfort package.
The last upgrade to the G-class was in 2012, when it got its current, modern look. The replacement has been rumoured from quite a while, with spy shots having come already of the vehicle that will launch in 2018.
