Porsche has announced the new GTS versions of the mid-engine 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman cars. These will be powered by a slightly more powerful version of the 2.5-litre four-cylinder boxer engine that is rated at 365hp as a result of a redesigned intake and changes to the turbocharger.
These cars are now 35hp ahead of the naturally aspirated GTS of the previous generation and are available with both the six-speed manual and the PDK gearbox.
Visually, the GTS models are distinguished by a new front apron, blackened headlights and light modules, black logo, black rear apron and black centre tailpipe. Black GTS logos at the base of the doors and 20-inch wheels painted in black complete the side view. The GTS also features the Sport Chrono Package as standard, including the central stopwatch on the dashboard and the sports seats plus. Owners also get the Porsche Track Precision App for keeping track of their track days.
