Volkswagen Oman has launched the new Arteon – a GT car from the Volkswagen brand that is positioned above the Passat and is seen as a replacement of the CC. Although the Arteon shares the CC’s coupe like profile, the car is seen as a major departure from its predecessor, using the group’s MQB platform.
Commenting on the arrival of the Arteon in the Sultanate, David Ryan, General Manager of Volkswagen Oman said, “The Arteon offers our customers a class leader in the premium segment. Combining the design elements of a sports car with the elegance and space of a fastback, the five-door Gran Turismo represents style, comfort and innovation.”
The Arteon offers a choice of TSI engines, as well as between a front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive format. The Arteon also features the fully digital display derived from the Virtual cockpit of Audi brand cars. The central display is available in a 9.2″ size as well. The luggage compartment accommodates all of 563 litres and can be extended by dropping the rear row.
