Hyundai Motor has announced the imminent launch of the new Hyundai Accent in the region. The fifth generation of the entry level family car was launched in Korea last year with a sharper design package, more efficient engines and enhanced driving dynamics.
“The Accent is a defining product for Hyundai, with a hard-earned reputation for delivering both quality and value,” said Hyundai’s Head of Operations for Africa and the Middle East, Mike Song. “This All-new model continues that tradition, while also demonstrating Hyundai’s commitment to innovation. It is a stronger, safer, and more technically advanced car, in a package that will be enjoyable to drive and economical to own.”
The car debuts with a choice of two four-cylinder engines, both upgraded from before – the 1.4-litre unit generates 100PS and the 1.6-litre unit 123PS, with two six speed gearboxes – one manual and one automatic.
The car will arrive in regional showrooms by the second quarter of 2018.
