Range Rover loses two doors to gain panache – SV Coupé

Range Rover have shown their newest limited edition offering at the Geneva Motorshow in the Range Rover SV Coupé. We had indicated its reveal in this leader story in January. The production run on this practically custom styled luxury SUV is 999 with bookings already open, while deliveries are expected to begin before the end of the year.

As with other SVO engineered versions of the top of the end SUV, the SV Coupé will be powered by the 565PS 5.0-litre supercharged V8 with 700Nm of torque and some outstanding performance figures – 0-100 km/h in just over 5 seconds and a 266 km/h top speed.

Gerry McGovern, Chief Design Officer, Land Rover, says “The Range Rover SV Coupé is a celebration of the Range Rover bloodline. With a dramatic two-door silhouette, this breath-taking four seat coupé alludes to its unique heritage whilst being thoroughly modern and contemporary. Beautifully realised, superbly engineered, the Range Rover SV Coupé delivers the most distinguished, luxurious and exclusive Range Rover ever built.”

The SV Coupé will offer 23″ wheels, a choice of four contrasting colour themes inside (with the front and rear being different) and an optional liquid metal paint finish in Liquesence. Additionally, each unit can be further customised from a huge catalogue of leather, colour choices and even embellishments.

The SV Coupé also features Pixel-laser LED headlights with 144 LEDs and four laser diodes (market dependent fitment) that provide five times higher luminance than standard LED lights on Laser Supplementary High Beam – over 500m.

Air suspension on the SV Coupé offers a standard ride height that is lower by 15mm to the regular car at cruise speeds – along with the usual five height settings.

InControl Touch Pro Duo infotainment includes a 10-inch display, 10-inch control panel and 12-inch Interactive Driver Display, while a 10-inch full-colour Head-Up Display shows turn information including street names, slope and wheel information, cruise control, RPM and gear information. The 1700w, 23-speaker, Meridian 3D Signature Sound System with dual-channel subwoofer features Trifield 3D technology for optimum sound quality.
