On its 70th year, Porsche has released a potential limited run car in the Porsche 911 Speedster Concept. The 911 Speedster Concept celebrated its world premiere as part of the official ‘70 years Porsche sportscar’ anniversary celebrations in Zuffenhausen. The concept study offers a glimpse of a potential series-production version, although this model may not be presented until 2019. A decision on whether to move ahead will be made in the coming months.
Squatter, with a lower screen and a double bubble on the rear, the car links back to the 356 1500 Speedster. The car also gets only a tonneau cover instead of a convertible top to protect it from the rain when parked. The chassis comes from the Porsche GT3, while the body is from the 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet. Producing over 500hp power, the car gets 21″ rims with centre locks and a six-speed manual transmission.
