Cadillac has announced that they will be bringing their compact premium SUV — the Cadillac XT4 to the region later this year.

Cadillac is building on its revamped positioning in the Middle East region, with the upcoming entry of the new Cadillac XT4.

Smaller than its sibling the XT5, that has drawn significant customer response in the region, the new compact SUV was only unveiled in March this year.

Cadillac hopes to draw customers migrating to smaller, more efficient and feature-rich SUVs and the XT4 should provide that.

The company has also announced that they will be following the XT4 with five new products spaced out at six month intervals.

Christian Soemmer, Managing Director, Cadillac Middle East, said: “When you purchase a Cadillac, you buy into a brand with a rich history, premium styling and some of the most technologically advanced vehicles on the market today. The XT4 is another example of our 10-year plan coming to life, with our latest reiteration of premium helping us reclaim our position as ‘the standard of the world’.”

“Cadillac’s first-ever compact SUV is designed to stand out to the young, upwardly mobile consumer. Naturally, it’s also filled with the kind of leading-edge connectivity features that tech-savvy buyers demand.”, Soemmer continued.

All XT4 models will be driven by an all-new Cadillac 2.0L Turbo engine, producing an SAE-certified output of 237 hp (177 kW). Coupled with a nine-speed automatic transmission with next-generation Electronic Precision Shift, the new engine features new efficiency-enhancing technologies including Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation).
