Audi Oman used a showcase event based at the boutique Mysk hotel at Al Mouj Muscat to present its latest SUV offering – the all new Audi Q8. Along with this, the brand also had tableaux depicting the recently launched Audi A7 and the latest edition of the Audi A8, which was launched in May of this year.

Commenting on the showcase of Audi models at Al Mouj Muscat, David Ryan, the GM of Audi Oman said, “We at Wattayah Motors are always keen to directly interact with our customers at various key locations across the country. This is why we chose Al Mouj, Muscat to display these Audi flagship models, as it is one of the most important tourist destinations in the capital amongst both Omanis and expatriates. This venue allows us to reach the widest possible segment of our customer base, enabling them to see these stunning models up close and get a better understanding of their features and capabilities. Over the course of the event, our  sales representatives were on hand to introduce the models and their features as well as to arrange test drives at the nearest Audi showroom.”

The Audi Q8 is the latest offering from the brand. Built on a shared platform with the already popular Audi Q7, the new Q8 offers buyers a coupe like profile at the rear with the five door usability of a regular SUV. Remarkably, the Q8 has created a distinct identity of its own, with buyers showing a lot of interest for the design and differentiation.

The Audi A8 is the technology leader in its segment, with features that make it an almost autonomous car, yet delivering a unique driving experience. From chassis control, to touch interfaces and new generation drivetrains, the Audi A8 sets itself apart.

The Audi A7 has a sportback four-door profile that mirrors the direction of the Q8. It shares the 3.0-litre TFSI engine that the other two models come with in the region, with 340bhp of power and 500Nm of torque, integrated with a 48-volt mild hybrid system.

“Audi has introduced these class-leading models, each embodying the Audi brand promise of Vorsprung durchTechnik, with a new approach to design and advanced technologies; some of which have been introduced for the very first time in a production vehicle. Our display event offered customers an opportunity to experience each of these technologies, getting a better understanding of how they worked,” added Ryan.

The unique approach to presenting these models signifies a change in strategy for the local importer. We think it will pay them rich dividends in higher traffic and brand awareness.
