BMW has launched the latest generation of the BMW X5 in Oman. Represented by its official importer in the Sultanate, Al Jenaibi International Automobiles, the premium brand is in the middle of a product offensive which sees the popular X5 as a core part of its presence in the region.
The latest generation of the BMW X5 is larger and more spacious than its predecessor, while also featuring a host of new features and technologies that build on the nameplate’s strengths.
The interiors of the new BMW X5 also feature new options like a larger panoramic glass roof, redesigned driver interface and an upgraded display and sound system.
The BMW X5 launches in the region with a choice of two engines. The base unit is the new three-litre six-cylinder turbocharged unit that delivers 340 horsepower and 450Nm of torque.
The larger unit on the BMW X5 xDrive50i is the 4.4-litre V8 engine with 462hp of output.
The fourth generation X5 model features an off-road package; two-axle air suspension, under guard at the front and rear, plus specific displays in the instrument cluster and Control Display. Additionally, a choice of four driving modes available at the touch of a button. Ride height and the responses of BMW xDrive, DSC, the transmission and the accelerator are adjusted to give an optimum set-up for driving on sand, rock, gravel or snow.
