Mitsubishi motors Oman importer, General Automotive Company, have wound up this year’s Pajero desert adventure. The last of four outings into the desert saw the participation of 290 people in 50 Mitsubishi Pajero vehicles.

Driven by popular demand, the Team Pajero Desert Adventure saw four separate groups this season. The fourth trip was held during the weekend of February 16 and 17. There is a likelihood that the brand may look at organising trips in other seasons as well due to the huge demand it receives from buyers.

Commenting on the successful conclusion of the Team Pajero Desert Adventure, Manoj Ranade, General Manager of General Automotive Company, said, “The objective of our desert adventure is for customers to experience first-hand the off-road capabilities of the Pajero, and under the safe supervision of our Marshalls and technicians. The desert adventure has gained popularity every year, and for the most recent edition, we have collectively taken over 1,000 customers and 200 Pajeros into the Wahiba Sands.”

The convoy drive from Muscat takes participants to the Al Raha desert camp in Bidiyah where the Mitsubishi team marshals the convoy through the dunes to a look out point over the camp to witness the sunset. Once back at the camp a range of family-oriented activities adds to the atmosphere of a laid-back adventure, including the next mornings availability of dune bikes and camel rides.

“This most recent trip brings our Team Pajero Desert Adventures for 2018 – 2019 to a close. On behalf of the management at GAC, I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work on organising and overseeing each trip. I would also like to thank all our customers for their participation in these events, without whom these trips would have never been successful and popular as they are today. I look forward to seeing more of them in the next series of trips, alongside new faces that will join the ever growing Pajero family in 2019,” Manoj concluded.
