The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is the latest innovation by the Japanese manufacturer and comes with dynamic and innovative features that combine the appearance of a sporty coupe with the practical advantages of an SUV. The Eclipse Cross has a strong four-wheel drive heritage, one that continues in the mould set forth by the legendary Pajero, ASX, Montero Sport, and Outlander before it.
The 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross makes the best of its turbocharged 4-cylinder unit with 147hp and 250Nm of torque mated with a new generation of the brand’s AWD controller. Called Super All-Wheel Control system (S-AWC) that integrates front-rear torque transfer with Active Stability Control, ABS and Active Yaw Control that use brake force to apportion torque across the axle.
The Eclipse Cross offers three driver selectable drive modes – Auto, Snow and Gravel. This is underpinned by the new controller.
The suite of safety and driver assist features also now include Blind Spot Warning, Lane change assist, Rear Cross traffic alert, Forward collision mitigation, Lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control (with distance maintain), Multi-view camera system and auto high beams.
